Testimonials

I worked on two writing projects with Vanessa, one directed towards an academic research journal and one directed towards an academic teaching journal. Vanessa was a joy to work with. She quickly understood what we needed and she managed each project very professionally. She has a strong work ethic, communication skills, and integrity. She adjusted her writing to match the needs of the journals and she helped us tell our story more effectively and efficiently. I really enjoyed the experience and without hesitation will call her again for our next project.

It is Vanessa’s voice I want hiding in the spaces between the characters of my work.

What can I say? She is talented, patient, sensitive, and honest to a fault. These attributes seem to be character driven in Vanessa’s practice. I wouldn’t consider exposing my raw efforts to anyone else.

My personal craft is short fiction, but the finer points of professional writing are beyond my skill set. Vanessa carefully and thoughtfully removes the unnecessary, rescues the cogent, and leaves what I always intended to say but simply didn’t know how—or when to walk away from my pen.

My advice: if you are a writer, write! Leave the rest to Vanessa.

Vanessa,
Your writing is a natural talent. You creatively contributed to the concept of my book, but it is not only about your ability. I want you to know how much I appreciate the way you care for my work from start to finish.

It is that combination of your expertise, personal attention to detail, and impact on my idea that I appreciate. Thank you for your extraordinary thoughtfulness.

In this highly technological world, it is comforting to know this personal support remains fundamental. Because I am so gratified with your editing service, I have recommended you to others.

Vanessa was referred to me by a valued colleague and I can honestly say she has become my most valued resource.  Every week, she transforms my article content notes into an eloquent well written article that captures the essence of my message.  Vanessa’s writing skills, talent and quick turnaround greatly reduce the stress I feel to produce great articles. Thank you Vanessa.  I couldn’t do it without you!

Vanessa relieves me of what I consider to be the tedious responsibility of editing. I can’t tell you the relief I feel when I get an email from her containing my edited documents. Vanessa allows me the time to create. I only have to be responsible for content, and she ties it up in a pretty package with a bow! She makes me look good! And she turns everything around so quickly. She is a talented writer herself, so beyond keeping my work grammatically correct, when something isn’t making sense, she fixes it. I highly recommend Vanessa’s work! She’s really quite brilliant as well as efficient, talented and quick!

As a Professor of Management, I am required to publish in academic journals — publish or perish. I will not submit an article unless Vanessa Park has reviewed it. Her work is excellent and her feedback has been extremely helpful both in terms of basic grammar and punctuation, and in terms of the general logic and flow of the paper. I highly recommend Vanessa, without reservation.

Grammar, punctuation, dangling fragmented thoughts and proper tenses are where every good editor works magic – making the written word readable.  Vanessa does this amazingly and if that was all her editing skills included she would be worth her weight in gold.  Vanessa goes further.  Readability is one thing, creative flow to capture a reader, taking them on a journey, is something vastly different.  Vanessa can do that too. She has the ability to assist the writer in creating the flow, capturing the words, and setting out suggestions for a path to follow. Her input has been invaluable in taking a piece of clay (my writing) and molding it, shaping it, into a piece of pottery artwork.  From the shape, the color, the smoothness to the designs intricately etched, her editing and writing skills have assisted in creating a masterful journey in every chapter of my book.

Writing a book is a daunting task.   I am a master at my craft as a handwriting analyst; however, putting it on paper in book form is difficult.  I wanted it to be clear, concise, and understandable.  Another author friend recommended Vanessa to me.  I am so happy to have had Vanessa correct and improve my writing.  She did an outstanding job.  I definitely will use Vanessa again.

Vanessa proved herself to be an invaluable tool in the finalizing of my PhD applications. She was able to take the awkward writing of a physicist (me), and turn it into something that flowed beautifully while maintaining the scientific integrity of my past work and future aspirations. Even though she is not a physicist herself, I found that each and every comment and suggestion she made was very thoughtful and important to helping me properly express myself. I highly recommend her services, no matter how technical the writing, and will hopefully be calling upon her services in the future for many fellowship applications and manuscript drafts to come.

Vanessa is a writer, and as such, her skills as an editor, copywriter, and copy editor are invaluable to me. I won’t send a letter, circulate a memo, or publish an article in our school newsletter without running it by Vanessa first. She is meticulous, fast, thorough and very easy to work with. She can wordsmith awkward prose, ensure grammatical precision, and catch every misplaced punctuation mark. I enthusiastically recommend her services.
